Christmas – God has done marvellous things

“And Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no husband?” “And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son.” (Luke 1: 34,36)

Doesn’t God make it hard to believe? One woman is too old to have a baby and the other has no husband.

God fulfills His promises in strange, miraculous ways. Through these two women God brought into the world two children that a nation had been waiting and longing for, for over 400 years.

It is our own belief in this wonderful story, that allows us to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas is God’s work. John the Baptist was sent by God. Jesus was the Son of God. The Kingdom is God’s Kingdom.

Christmas is a time to praise the wonderful works of God! For us as believers to celebrate the Birthday of our Risen Lord! Only the believing acceptance of the work of God gives strength for today and tomorrow.

Let us all fall on our knees before our Risen Lord, remembering the manger at Bethlehem, and with humility and reverence sing praises to our Lord and God this Christmas.

“For he has done marvellous things.” Psalm 98:1 (MKJV)
