Art and Crafts

“I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.” Exodus 31:3-5 NIV

Don’t panic. Craft doesn’t have to be a hassle. The simpler it is, the less work for you. Make craft fun. Remember everyone sees things differently. Try not having an example or goal every time, ie a thing that is to be made.  Just give the children bits and pieces and let them go for it: gluing, sticking, crushing, crumbling, rolling, painting, dripping, sprinkling, cutting, twisting, the list is endless.
If there is no expected result, there is no standard then no one can be scolded for doing it wrong.
Let them create their own things without PRESSURES.

Variety is the spice of life; chop and change so the playgroup doesn’t get into a rut.
