On Saturday the 3rd March, 9 members met at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church Windsor. After a delicious morning tea supplied by the Women’s ministry group, we had a tour of this very historic church and cemetery in Windsor. It is a lovely church with a very unique interior. Well worth a visit. Built in 1825 by Francis Greenway. Then we walked down the street to the Catholic Church also St. Matthew’s and built in 1840. It is the oldest Catholic Church on mainland Australia and a very pretty church. After these visits we had a walk around Windsor admiring some of the very old homes and their beautiful gardens. We had a chat to a couple of locals and then went to the local leagues club for a very enjoyable lunch and a cool drink which was very welcome. Then time to depart for home. We all had a very nice day, good weather and lovely company.
